Baisakhi 2023
Get Ready to Celebrate: Baisakhi Festivities Begin on April 14th
Baisakhi, the joyous festival that marks the beginning of the Sikh New Year, is just around the corner and is set to be celebrated on Friday, April 14th this year. According to the Drik Panchang, the auspicious timing for the festivities is set to begin at 5:42 am, with the Sankranti moment prevailing at 3:12 pm.
This is a time of great celebration and joy for the Sikh community, who come together to commemorate the Khalsa Panth's establishment and pay their respects to the Sikh Gurus. The day is marked with vibrant processions, singing and dancing, and of course, feasting on traditional Punjabi delicacies.
This year's Baisakhi celebrations may be slightly different, but the spirit of the festival remains undiminished. Let us all come together, albeit virtually, to celebrate the joy and hope that this festival brings, and pray for a brighter, happier, and healthier tomorrow.
